Marouane Fellaini has vowed to show Manchester United fans his best form next season when he’s back to full fitness.
The Belgian midfielder – who netted a vital World Cup goal in his nation’s comeback win against Algeria on Tuesday – joined the Red Devils in a £27m deal from Everton last summer, and has widely been hailed as one of the worst signing of that transfer window.
While at Goodison Park Fellaini was celebrated as one of the Premier League’s top attacking midfielders, but he was often woefully off of the pace for United after being moved back into a deeper role.
Some of his poor displays could perhaps be attributed to fitness worries, and the big-haired star says that he is aiming to show the Old Trafford crowd what he can do when now he has fully recovered:
“Next season I want to reach my best level ever.” He is quoted by the Daily Star.
“The injury I had in the past season made it very difficult for me.”
Fellaini has already been linked with a move away from United, with rumours indicating that he could be available for just £15m.
