David Moyes has been told he will be able to spend big money during the summer transfer window, and had reportedly identified the Bayern centre back as a top target.
The 30-year-old Brazilian defender was linked with a move to Old Trafford in January, after admitting the Red Devils were keen to sign him.
But now speculation over his future can stop once and for all, following the news he has penned a new deal at the Allianz Arena.
He told the club’s official website: “It was the best decision of my life to come to Bayern.
“Everything here is good: the club, the team, the title wins, the mood. Bavaria is the right club for me.
“Therefore, I remain very happy to stay at least until 2017 in Munich. I am sure we can still have a lot of fun and success with our team in the coming years.”
Dante will be keen to show United exactly what they missed out on when he arrives at Old Trafford for the Champions League quarter final first leg on April 1.
