Manchester United look set to miss out on Arturo Vidal, after the Chilean midfielder hinted that he will be staying at Juventus.
The Red Devils have been tracking the energetic midfielder for much of the summer, with reports from the player’s homeland having suggested that a contract had been agreed for him to switch to Old Trafford.
However, Juve have held firm to keep their man, with their public stance having always been that he will be with club when the transfer deadline has passed.
And now the 27-year-old has echoed their sentiments on Twitter by posting an image of himself behind the scenes at the Turin club with the message: “Ready to start the championship! 100% Juventus !!!!!”

Talk of a £40m plus Javier Hernandez swoop has been doing the rounds this week, but Louis van Gaal is understood to have had long-term doubts surrounding Vidal’s knee injury.
William Carvalho of Sporting Lisbon is thought to be the club’s next target, while there has been talk of a late move for former Manchester City hardman Nigel de Jong.
