Manchester United‘s reported raid on the Bundesliga is ‘very unlikely,’ according to talkSPORT.

The Old Trafford club have a reported £200m to spend on rebuilding a side that suffered its worst ever Premier League campaign last term, finishing 7th and without Champions League qualification.

But Bundesliga expert Mark Lovell has told talkSPORT that new United boss Louis Van Gaal will not bring long-term targets Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels to the Premier League this summer.

He said: “Man United reportedly have around £200million to spend this summer.

“It’s very doubtful Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels will go to United though.

“Man United’s main problem is their defence. Van Gaal wil be looking at Hummels but Borussia Dortmund have lost a lot of players recently.

“They need to hold on to the likes of Hummels because he’s a brilliant defender.”
