Wilfried Zaha (Manchester United)Manchester United manager David Moyes has hinted that Wilfried Zaha may be allowed to leave the club on loan in January.

The England international completed his long-awaited move to Old Trafford from Crystal Palace over the summer, but has struggled to force his way into the Scot’s first-team plans.

Adnan Januzaj appears to have moved ahead of Zaha in the pecking order, while experienced stars such as Nani and Antonio Valencia are also vying for a starting berth.

Moyes is keen for the 20-year-old to continue to develop, and has admitted that sending him away on a temporary basis may be the best option.

“Wilf has not appeared, we have not felt we have had the opportunity,” Moyes told The Mirror.

“I want Wilf to get used to what happens here. The competition is hard.

“It is just impossible to get all these players a game at the one time. You can only ever play 11.

“It’s important Wilf gets to see the level of the training here, the level of the players and the quality they have got. He is getting better which we are pleased about.”

Interest in Zaha is far from being in short supply, with Newcastle, Fulham, Stoke, Swansea and former club Palace all thought to be keen to secure his services.

The youngster was signed by former United chief Sir Alex Ferguson for £12m last January, but stayed with the Eagles for the end of their promotion-winning campaign.
