Javier Hernandez has dropped rapidly down the pecking order at Old Trafford and Italian club Fiorentina are set to make a bid for the Mexican in January, according to the Daily Mail.

Hernandez set the Premier League alight when he first arrived in Manchester, but the improvement of Danny Welbeck, alongside the £25million signing of Robin van Persie has left ‘Little Pea’ well out of favour.

However, all is not lost for the Mexican as Fiorentina are one of many European clubs that are looking at him for a January move and the Daily Mail claim that an £8million bid will be on its way to Sir Alex Ferguson’s office shortly.

More good news for Hernandez is that the club from Florence are expected to match his 80k-a-week wages in order to beat their rivals to his signature before the transfer window even opens.

After bursting onto the scene in 2010, it is typical of the Premier League that one of the most admired form players can become out of favour so quickly, however English clubs may also be interested in the striker is he was available.
