Manchester United flop Shinji Kagawa could make a return to Borussia Dortmund on loan, despite arguably his best performance in a United shirt during the 4-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Japanese playmaker has struggled since his arrival at United in the summer of 2012, and now it is thought Dortmund are willing to take him back – but only on loan.
Kagawa failed to earn a regular spot in Sir Alex Ferguson’s title winning side last season, and has only made sporadic appearances as United have struggle under Moyes this time around.
He finally showed flashes of his best form as United picked up three points against Aston Villa on Saturday, providing the assist for Wayne Rooney’s equaliser.
But according to reports, Dortmund have made Kagawa a transfer target for the summer, and United are willing to do business.
The Bundesliga side warmed up for their Champions League quarter final clash with Real Madrid this week by beating Stuttgart 3-2 after falling 2-0 down on Saturday.
