Manchester United are set to face a transfer snub from Pescara midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero who says he would prefer a move to Inter Milan, talkSPORT reports.

United are believed to be interested in the 19-year-old who has impressed since his loan move from Colombian side Atletico Nacional in the summer, which has lead to interest from several clubs.

However the midfielder seems keen to remain in Italy and join Pescara’s fellow Serie A side Inter Milan.

“United? No, I like Inter,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I prefer the Nerazzurri because they have a lot of South Americans at the club. And I’m happy in Italy.

“Saying that, it is clear that I would not turn down other strong teams because I’m ambitious. Manchester, Milan and Juventus [are all options].

“I’ll decide with my family and with my agent.”

Despite the young midfielder currently being on loan, Pescara are set to take the option of signing him permanently and then cashing in on him by offloading him to one of the giants of European football.

Quintero is renowned for his play making ability and could be another on a long list of players Sir Alex Ferguson is keeping tabs on, as he continues his search for a long term successor to Paul Scholes at Old Trafford.
