The agent of Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic, has revealed he is considering leaving the club at the end of the season, according to the Metro.
Vidic is set to see his contract expire at the end of the current campaign, and United have approached him over a possible extension.
But according to the player’s agent, a move away from Old Trafford for nothing at the end of the season, seems the most likely option.
The news will come as a bitter blow to David Moyes, who is desperate to keep the man widely considered the club’s best defender.
“Vidic’s contract is expiring and a number of teams are interested,” Vidic’s agent Silvano Martina said.
“Man United have offered him a renewal but a number of other clubs have approached him.
“We will wait until the end of the season to decide what happens. Finding a new team to play for is not a problem.”
A number of teams have expressed an interest in the 32-year-old, who has been at Old Trafford since 2006.
The Serbian has been attracting plenty of admirers from Italy, with Napoli believed to be leading the chase for his signature.
However Martina insists his client will not be linking up with former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez in Naples.
“There’s been no contact with Napoli,” he added.
