Manchester United target Marco Veratti has said he wants to stay at Paris St Germain, but the decision will ultimately not lie with him, according to the Daily Star.

The 21-year-old Italian has been mentioned as a possible summer transfer target for United boss David Moyes, but Veratti has made his feelings clear with regards to a potential transfer.

“There is nothing that can make me leave PSG,” Verratti said.

“I’m very comfortable both on and off the pitch. Not everyone has the opportunity to start with a great club like this one and grow and improve as a player.

“Next season I will still be in Paris, it’s not up to me but if it was my intention is to stay here.”

Veratti has undergone a more remarkable rise than most.

The midfielder started his career with Italian second division club Pescara, before making the switch to Paris, where he is now a star of a side tipped to challenge for the Champions League this season.

It remains to be seen as to whether PSG would be willing to listen to any potential offer United may make, but even if they do, it appears Moyes would have a job on his hands in persuading Veratti to leave the French capital.
