The United manager’s bold list of transfer targets will test the Glazer family’s eagerness to get the club back to the top of English football.
Moyes has identified Juventus pair Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba as top targets, with the pair valued together at around £60million.
Moyes has also set his sights on Southampton left back Luke Shaw, and Ajax’s Joel Veltmen as the men to freshen up his defence.
And finally, Moyes is looking to beat the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea to the signature of Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa.
The list is sure to test United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward’s ability in the transfer market.
Woodward came under fire for his failure to attract the club’s top targets during the summer, although he was credited for playing a crucial role in the deal that saw Juan Mata arrive at the club from Chelsea in January.
A potential problem could be financing the deals however, especially if United fail to make the top four this season.
Yesterday’s 2-2 draw with bottom club Fulham saw United fall nine points behind fourth placed Liverpool, with just 13 league games remaining.
