According to reports from Mirror Football, Luke Shaw is facing an almighty fight to save his stuttering Manchester United career.

Indeed, the England international hasn't featured since the end of November and has been continually left out of Jose Mourinho's matchday squads - including against Reading last weekend - despite reportedly being fully fit.

Consequentially, it's claimed the 21-year-old has slumped all the way down to fourth in the left-back pecking order at Old Trafford, behind the likes of Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind.

But it appears the Manchester United fan base vastly disagrees with Mourinho's opinions of the former Southampton man. Earlier this week, we asked Red Devils supporters to vote for who United's first-choice left-back should be and Shaw proved the favourite with a pretty strong majority of 62%.

Unfortunately for Shaw, however, it's not the fans who pick the team! And according to Mirror Football, Mourinho is already running the rule over potential replacements to bring in during the summer.
