Outspoken agent Mino Raiola has claimed Manchester United do not have a transfer deal in place to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, despite reports on the contrary.

The France international has blossomed into arguably the top midfielder in world football since leaving Old Trafford four years ago, going on to lift four Serie A titles and start in the finals of the 2015 Champions League and Euro 2016.

Manchester United's interest in re-signing the former Red Devils youngster is no great secret and at this point in the summer transfer window, his return to Old Trafford is believed to be a case of if rather than when.

Indeed, reports from the Italian press in the last 24 hours have claimed he's due to sign for Manchester United today and has flown to England for a medical, whilst The Daily Mail believe a £100million deal will be done by the weekend.

But the latest comments from controversial agent Mino Raiola, who could pocket in excess of £20million from the deal, would suggest otherwise.

He insists there is no agreement between United and Juve - rather, the latest instalments of the transfer saga have been drummed up by competing Italian and English news outlets.

The 48-year-old wrote on Twitter; "Journalist = parrots. No deal done between Clubs. Its a game between Italy press and UK press. Who announce it first and who is worse."
