Dutch star Wesley Sneijder would be open to a move to the Premier League in January according to his agent.

The Inter star has been frozen out of the first team in Milan by the clubs hierarchy after turning down a contract offer that would have lowered his basic salary.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Sneijder for over a year now but it seems many clubs are waiting to see if a mega cheap deal can be done later this month.

Harry Redknapp revealed that he was offered the chance to speak with the 28 year old in regards to a January move by an agent, but he turned it down to focus on more realistic targets such as Tal Ben Haim.

The former Real Madrid superstar is clearly desperate to get a move signed and sealed as quickly as possible and having not played for Inter since September it could take him a while to get match fit anyway.

“England probably has the top league in Europe, so it could appeal, but Wes would want to play for a top team.” Sneijder’s agent Soren Lerby told The Sun.

“Wesley is one of the best midfielders in Europe. He is fully recovered from injury and just loves to play football, so we need to find a solution to his situation with Inter.”
