Manchester United will still be reeling after their loss in the Manchester Derby on Saturday afternoon.

With the Europa League campaign starting on Thursday night we looked ahead to the Red Devils first challenge, which is Dutch side Feyenoord.

Despite focusing on the Premier League this season, new United manager Jose Mourinho might fancy United's chances in the Europa League considering the strength in depth at the club.

The Red Devils were well beaten by their local rivals last weekend but there's a long way to go this season and they will still be very hopeful of their chances on all fronts.

United will need to be on their guard though considering Feyenoord's impressive season in the Eredivisie last year.

They finished third and have started this season on fire too, winning five out of five and topping the League. United know they're in for a tough evening but if they play to their strengths, they should win.

So here's a look at their potential starting XI...

Jose could consider dropping the No.1 but they need to get their confidence back after last weekends defeat.

He's by far and away the best goalkeeper United have on their books and there seems no benefit to resting him.

Antonio Valencia

Valencia has made right back his own this season. He's performed consistently and is expected to play on Thursday night.

Pacey and strong, there aren't many complaints about the 31-year-old right now.

Chris Smalling

We think 'Mike' deserves a chance to show Mourinho what he's got in his locker.

The competition for places is fierce and Smalling was one of the better performers last season and will want his spot in the first team back.

Daley Blind

The Dutchman is one of the calmest footballers around. He's going back to Holland for this game and will hope to impress his countrymen.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah

This is the perfect game to give one of the most promising young full defenders a runout. Fosu-Mensah looked fantastic every time he played for the Reds last season.

With pace and power in abundance, he could thrive with opportunities like this to impress on the European stage.

Marouane Fellaini

The 6 ft 4 in central midfielder has impressed so far this season.

He's played in the Champions League before and is a good option for a game like this.

Paul Pogba

He disappointed in the Manchester Derby but will be hoping to put things right this time around. He needs to show he can control the midfield.

Anthony Martial

He hasn't lit Old Trafford alight this season but was one of the bright sparks from last campaign

He was dropped for the Manchester Derby but will be hoping to be reinstated and show Mourinho what he is capable of.

Juan Mata

Like Martial, the Spaniard was also dropped for the Manchester Derby last weekend. He has had run ins with Mourinho in the past and needs to impress him. This is a good opportunity.

Marcus Rashford

The teenage sensation came on as a substitute against Manchester City and was one of the brightest sparks. Mourinho has guaranteed he was going to start the next game so look forward to seeing his blistering runs.

The Swedish striker has had a great start to the season and seems unstoppable.

He's scored goals in every European country he's played in and we're sure he'll want to show what he can do in the Europa League.
