Manchester United visit Goodison this weekend looking to begin a reversal of their dismal Premier League form.

Mourinho's men only won one Premier League match throughout the entirety of October and November, so they'll be hoping December is kinder to them as they look to chase down the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool above them in the table.

But it won't be easy given that Everton have ambitions of their own. What's more, the Toffees haven't lost at home in the league since Arsenal defeated them 2-0 back in March.

The last match between the two sides came on neutral ground at Wembley in an FA Cup semi-final, with Man United coming out on top 2-1 last term thanks to goals from Anthony Martial and former Evertonian Marouane Fellaini.

It's a classic Super Sunday match-up and will likely be an entertaining encounter in front of what is always a passionate Goodison Park faithful.

This is the Manchester United XI that we think can get back to Premier League winning ways...

GK: David de Gea

de-gea

There's really no messing about here. De Gea has been ever-present in the Premier League this season and has not done anything to suggest that should change.

Sergio Romero has played in the Europa League and League Cup but De Gea is the boss between the sticks and will be as important as ever up against Lukaku and co.

RB: Antonio Valencia

Mourinho has kept faith in Valencia throughout the season with the Ecuadorian playing in eleven of the side's 13 Premier League matches. Strong in possession with the ability to take the ball forward into United's attacking areas, he'll be key on Sunday.

Defensively, Mourinho will be looking for Valencia to keep a close eye on Yannick Bolasie who has been impressive on his day for the Toffees this term.

CB: Phil Jones

Phil Jones hadn't featured for the club at all this season until November. He's taken his chance in the first-time, though, and has started the last three Premier League fixtures.

He performed well against both Feyenoord and West Ham - against the Hammers he won six aerial battles and did well to link the defence with the midfield, completing 90% of his passes.

CB: Marcos Rojo

Another looking to prove he can perform consistently under Mourinho is Marcos Rojo. The defender has been ever-present in the Premier League since starting the 4-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Despite that day, he's gone on to perform decently for the Old Trafford side, like Jones, and has the ability to play the ball from the back into the midfield areas.

LB: Matteo Darmian

With Luke Shaw due to miss the clash, as confirmed by Jose Mourinho himself, Darmian is the logical choice. The Italian's versatility has led to him finding a role in the Man United XI at left-back, but he'll have to buck his ideas up after some shaky displays so far this season.

CM: Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba really is a magnificent footballer and we wouldn't dream of dropping him for Sunday's game.

Five of his 18 appearances so far this season have resulted in Man of the Match performances and he's already scored four goals from midfield in red.

Excelling in the recent matches with Feyenoord and West Ham, if anyone is going to inspire United to get a grip of their form and go on a winning run, it's this man.

CM: Ander Herrera

Ander Herrera

United's Spanish midfielder has built a decent partnership with Pogba this season but will be looking to improve during the visit to Goodison on Sunday.

His passing ability and free-kick prowess are enough to include him here and United fans will be hoping he can live up to his end of the bargain in the Pogba dominated midfield.

RM/RW: Juan Mata

With five goals and one assist, Juan Mata has been one of Man United's most effective players this season.

We've shifted him out to the right given another selection but the Spanish star can be just as effective through the middle. If United are to get a result on Sunday then they'll need to be at the peak of their attacking potential.

Juan Mata has to play a huge part in that.

AM: Henrikh Mkhitaryan

The Armenian has been shining of late when given chances by Jose Mourinho, and with Wayne Rooney out of this weekend's match now is the time to thrust him into Premier League action. Mkhitaryan is undoubtedly a quality attacking midfielder and needs game time to adjust to English football.

LW: Anthony Martial

Martial probably isn't having the second season he was hoping for at United, and is looking a long way from off the blistering attacking talent we saw last season.

Still, we reckon he's one of the best players United have and think he deserves a start at Goodison over Marcus Rashford, who has also been struggling for form in recent weeks.

If he can regain some of his lost confidence, he can still be a big player for United this season.

ST: Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The majestic Ibrahimovic has undoubtedly been United's most important player this season and has been every bit the talisman people expected when he arrived in the summer from Paris Saint-Germain.

With nine goals, two assists and four Man of the Match performances so far this season, along with Pogba, has been keeping this Man United side going.

If they're to get a result a Goodison it will likely be Ibrahimovic who is involved in the goals.
