Manchester United travel to Stamford Bridge this weekend as they take on Chelsea in one of the biggest games of the season so far.

Jose Mourinho is returning to his old nesting ground for the first time as Manchester United manager and there will be little love lost as he tries to lead his side to victory.

His side currently sit seventh in the Premier League table and desperately need three points to keep pace with the likes of Spurs and Manchester City at the top of the table.

United have wobbled somewhat in recent weeks and it's imperative they get back on track - and if possible, lay down a bit of a marker to the rest of the division.

Much has been made of the Special One's return to London but we want to have a look at the starting XI and the system he could deploy to ensure the points go back to Manchester.

So with that in mind, here's our Manchester United starting lineup that will beat the Blues at the Bridge on Sunday...

GK: David De Gea

Manchester United v Leicester City - Premier League

Little needs to be said about this selection - David De Gea will start the game for United and he'll hope to play well against the Blues.

RB: Antonio Valencia

Liverpool v Manchester United - Premier League

Antonio Valencia is very much first-choice at right-back for United these days, despite struggling to get into the side under Louis Van Gaal last season.

His pace, power and willingness to get forward will cause Chelsea problems on Sunday.

CB: Eric Bailly

Eric Bailly v Man City

Eric Bailly has proved to be an absolutely fantastic piece of business by United manager Jose Mourinho and this will be yet another big test for the young Ivorian.

He's stepped up at every occasion so far this campaign but we'll have to see the best from him if he's to keep the likes of Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Willian quiet on Sunday.

CB: Chris Smalling

Chris Smalling has been playing extremely well of late and he'll be looking to step up once again in the huge game against Chelsea.

He's played in enough of these high-profile fixtures to know what to expect on the biggest stage and he'll have to help partner Eric Bailly out, especially if things aren't going United's way.

LB: Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw

After such a horrendous injury last season, it's fantastic to see Luke Shaw back in the first-team.

He's been through a lot over the past year and he'll be looking to force his way back into the England set-up too. A good performance at the Bridge wouldn't harm his chances one bit at all.

CDM: Ander Herrera

Quite surprisingly, Ander Herrera has been one of United's stand-out players this season.

In a remarkable turnaround, the Spanish centre-midfielder is now one of Mourinho's go-to men, despite struggling to get into the United first-team since his arrival from Athletic Bilbao.

Another strong performance on Sunday would do his growing reputation no harm.

CDM: Michael Carrick

Giggs Carrick

In a toss-up between Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini, we think the Englishman would be better suited to an away game where discipline and a cool head will be absolutely vital.

Carrick has been involved in games like these for years and as a safer, sturdier option, we'd like to see him start. Fellaini will always be a good alternative from the bench, if he is needed.

RM: Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford

Teen sensation Marcus Rashford has another chance to continue his rise to stardom this weekend, and we'd love to see him start on the wing against Chelsea.

He's going to be best suited using his electric pace to attack Chelsea's left-hand side, finding space between wing-back Marcos Alonso and defender Cesar Azpilicueta.

CAM: Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba is really starting to find his mojo at United and two more goals in the Europe League in midweek will have done his confidence no harm as the Red Devils head to London this weekend.

He has a big price tag to justify after his colossal move from Italy abut at last, we're beginning to see the domination he can provide in the middle of the park.

LM: Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial

This is a really tough choice, which could have been filled by either Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata or even Ashley Young.

But for the game against Chelsea, we think Anthony Martial will bring the most pace and direction to the United flank. He's had to settle for a part-bit role at times this season and this is a fantastic game for the youngster to earn more minutes by impressing his manager.

ST: Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan

There's only one man to lead the United line in this one - Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

He's come to England to win silverware and these are the games where we really have to see the best from the Swedish international. He needs to be a real menace up front but we think he'll be relishing the opportunity to lineup against former PSG colleague David Luiz.
