Manchester United face a stern test in the Europa League tomorrow when they clash with a Feyenoord side that have already inflicted a defeat upon the Red Devils this season. Jose Mourinho's boys desperately need a result to keep their European qualification hopes alive.

Slacking in the Premier League and looking short of launching a successful bid for a top-four finish, winning the Europa League is the only other alternative route of entry available for the Red Devils and the club needs to fire all they can towards achieving that goal.

With two wins and two defeats from their games so far, Manchester United could exit the competition tomorrow if Fenerbache beat Zorya and United lose to Feyenoord. It's excruciatingly tight in Group A and United need to be wary of the threat Feyenoord possess.

To help United supporters get accustomed to the threat facing their side tomorrow, Football FanCast have picked out three crucial statistics you need to know about the Dutch side.

Lost one of nine

Feyenoord are on a decent run in all competitions and have lost just one of their nine matches heading into the clash with Manchester United. In fact, up until recently, they had gone seven games without defeat  - suffering a 1-0 loss to Go Ahead Eagles.

That loss came prior to the international break and Feyenoord responded with a 3-0 victory on Sunday against PEC Zwolle, which saw the Dutch side maintain their two-point lead over Ajax at the top of the Eredivisie table.

Just two losses this season

Fenerbahce's Robin van Persie applauds fans before the match

Feyenoord's formidable run of form this season has seen them lose just two matches, the aforementioned result against GA Eagles before the international break and a Europa League trip to Fenerbache at the end of September.

Whilst that doesn't bode well for United, Jose Mourinho's side can take comfort from the fact that both of these defeats came with Feyenoord travelling on the road. United will have to make their home advantage count in tomorrow's fixture.

10 clean sheets

From 17 matches in all competition this season, Feyenoord boast an impressive tally of ten clean sheets. Meanwhile, Manchester United have kept just five from their 19 matches so far.

That suggestst Feyenoord have a good chance of scoring at Old Trafford, whilst the Red Devils may find it difficult to break down their Dutch opposition. However, Feyenoord have kept just one clean sheet in their last five, with the other nine coming in 12 previous matches.

Is it a sign of a decline for Feyenoord? United will hope so.
