United boss confident ahead of transfer window

Manchester United manager David Moyes claims many players are interested in moving to Old Trafford this summer, reports the Daily Star.

The Scot has been talking about United’s summer preparations, despite calls from some fans for the former Everton manager to be sacked. Moyes took charge of United’s 4-1 victory over Aston Villa on the weekend, and kept his eyes firmly focused on the pitch as a plane rented by United fans flew over Old Trafford with the words ‘Wrong One – Moyes Out’ attached to the back.

But despite some fans complaints, Moyes has continued to focus on his project at Old Trafford, and has spoken about his intentions to build in the summer: “When I came in I knew exactly what the task was going to be. We have to build a team here.” said Moyes.

“I’ve already got a very good team, I took over the champions from Sir Alex, it’s a great team. But now there’s time where we have to try and add to that. We’re looking to add to it. All the players that I seem to talk to are really keen to join Manchester United, so let’s hope that comes to fruition in the summer time.”

United are in 7th place, 10 points behind 4th placed Arsenal.
