Newcastle United midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa is on the verge of completing a season long loan move to Hull City, according to Sky Sports.
The French winger has been frozen out of St. James’ Park by manager Alan Pardew and has been training for the club’s reserves for the last six months or so.
But his Newcastle nightmare looks like it could be coming to an end, with the Magpies accepting Hull’s offer of a loan deal late on transfer deadline day.
Hull have been busy in the final stages of the summer transfer window, splashing out a club record £10.5million fee for Lazio striker Abel Hernandez before bringing West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame to the KC Stadium in a £3.8million move.
And they are now hoping to finish their summer’s business by completing a shock move for one of French football’s most promising prospects.
Ben Arfa had previously turned down moves to Besiktas and Birmingham City in a bid to fight for his Newcastle spot this season, but appears to have given up on his chances to win over Alan Pardew.
