Yohan Cabaye Newcastle midfielder

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew is prepared to keep Yohan Cabaye at St. James' Park, even if the Frenchman asks to leave.

The Telegraph are reporting that Pardew will not listen to any bids below £20million for the midfielder, who is apparently interested in a move to Arsenal.

Pardew was furious with Arsenal during his pre-match press conference ahead of Newcastle's match against Manchester City, with the manager unhappy with the Gunners' timing of their bid. Cabaye didn't feature in the match after being told he was the subject of a £10.2million bid.

But the Toon manager is not resigned to losing Cabaye, as the Gunners haven't met their valuation of the Frenchman.

"You cannot go on a forecourt of a car showroom and say to the dealership: ‘Here is what my valuation is and I’m just going to drive off with the car,'" Pardew said.
