Perch has been a spectator from the stands for the last few weeks struggling with a groin injury and his return to the fold will be a timely boost.
The utility player is expected to be in the matchday squad for Newcastle’s encounter with Stoke City at the Britannia stadium tonight.
Alan Pardew has been decimated with injuries in the last few weeks with Yohan Cabaye and Steven Taylor the latest names to suffer long term spells on the sidelines.
Pardew is also able to welcome back club captain Fabricio Coloccini from suspension and this should also replenish his defensive options.

“There’s nothing worse than getting injured and not being able to get out on the field,” the 27-year-old told the Shields Gazette.
“I got back as quick as quick as I can and hopefully I can stay fit.
“I don’t think there’s anything worse – Tayls will tell you the same.
“It’s horrible. When you’re coming to games watching, it’s not so bad when you’re winning.
“But when the team’s going through a tough patch, you just want to get out there and help the boys.”
