Newcastle United announced today that they have struck a deal with Papa John’s to be their official pizza partner until the end of the season.

It caps a pretty eventful seven days for the club, where they saw star player Yohan Cabaye sold to PSG for £19million and then director of football Joe Kinnear – who famously named Cabaye ‘Kebab’ – resigned after a poor eight months in the job.

And now this new commercial partnership gives Magpies fans in the North East the chance to have half-prize pizza if Alan Pardew’s side score at least twice in a game.
