Newcastle are readying a £7m move for Manchester United youngster Wilfried Zaha, according to reports from The Mirror.

Since signing for the Red Devils in January 2013, the England international has spent just six months in the club’s first-team.

He was initially loaned back to Crystal Palace as part of the £15m deal for his services, before spending the latter half of last term at Cardiff – who were relegated.

David Moyes was thought to have not been a fan of the tricky winger, and now it appears that new boss Louis van Gaal is also unconvinced.

The Dutchman is already eyeing his own signings for wide attacking roles, and is ready to take a massive hit on Zaha by letting him go for around half of the fee United paid.

Newcastle are ready to give him a new home, with Alan Pardew an admirer of the youngster.

Owner Mike Ashley will have the final say on a deal, but he may well sanction the swoop with the club having spent little in recent years.
