Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed the club have received no bids for Manchester United and Arsenal target Angel Di Maria, despite the player’s agent insisting there has been heavy interest in his client, according to the Daily Star.
The future of the Argentine winger remains unclear, with a host of top European clubs reportedly chasing his signature in January.
Di Maria is thought to be keen to quit the Bernabeu, after finding first team football in his favoured position hard to come by since the summer transfer of Gareth Bale.
Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United are both thought to be monitoring the situation closely, whilst French moneybags Monaco are also thought to be interested.
However Perez has insisted the club are yet to receive any offers for the in demand winger.
“We have not received any offer for the sale of Angel Di Maria. This is the truth of this subject,” he said.
“These are things that do not happen but are written about.
“Nobody has told me anything about this situation, I have asked the club if someone has approached us and nobody knows anything.”
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti had previously insisted he did not want to sell Di Maria, but a preferred front three of Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo has seen the Argentine miss out on the starting line up on several occasions.
Di Maria is thought to be keen to make a move in January which would allow him first team football ahead of the summer’s World Cup.
