Besiktas are moving forward with their offer for Samuel Eto’o with hopes of the star making a move before Chelsea begins bringing in striking reinforcements, one of which could be Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid, according to Daily Mail.
With the Spanish striker looking set to make a move to London, Eto’o could see his first team place in jeopardy as the Cameroonian is becoming a prime target for other clubs wanting his services.
The Turkish side is said to have already sent club representatives with a proposed offer worth up to £6.5 million a year in order to lure the striker away from Stamford Bridge.
Slaven Billic, who manages Besiktas, is not looking to stop there as he is continuing the pursuit of another Premier League star – with an offer already being made for Manchester City’s Joleon Lescott, but the English defender is still believed to be keeping his options open.
Should Eto’o decide to continue his career with the Blues, Billic is also interested in reinforcing his attacking options with the acquisition of Bafetimbi Gomis who could be released by Lyon on a free transfer.
