Antoine Griezmann is one of France's most promising players at the moment, becoming so big he is keeping Benzema and Giroud out of the national squad.

Plying his trade in Spain, Griezmann looks to be one of La Liga's biggest up and coming stars, with enough talent to compete alongside the likes of Ronaldo and Messi.

However, what most people wish to see is for the young Frenchman to become a Premier League star. Every transfer window he is linked with the same old teams: Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, yet he never ventures to the these shores.

Griezmann started his senior career with Real Sociedad, and before signing his first professional contract in April 2010, he had already been approached by a number of French teams, as well as Manchester United and Arsenal. However, he turned down their interest and stayed with Sociedad to build his match experience up. Griezmann quickly became a regular for Sociedad, playing the majority of their league matches.

It was these performances which convinced Atletico to part with £24million for the young Frenchman, now 24, on a six-year contract in July 2014. He replaced the outgoing fan favourite Diego Costa, and was given a free roaming role. Though Atletico could not compete with Real and Barcelona in the league, they still finished third.

At Atletico, he is one of the most important members of the squad, which has a good mix of youth and experience. The youthfulness of Griezmann, Oliver Torres, Koke and Carrassco are complimented by the experience in Godin, Felipe Luis and Juanfran. Diego Simeone is often praised for assembling this team which so nearly toppled their Madrid neighbours in the Champions League. However he also has a great eye for talent, highlighted through the purchase of Griezmann.

Should Griezmann have a good tournament in France this summer, it won't be a surprise if a number of europe's elite clubs come in for him.

If he joins the Premier League, any team like Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea could all benefit. Manchester United need the kind of player he is, who is so flexible anywhere in the front line. The fact he has scored 12 goals in 22 La Liga games illustrates just how good this Frenchman is.

His talent is not under question, and many hope that over the next couple of years he graces the Premier League.
