Sneijder still hoping for Premier League switch

Inter Milan midfielder Wesley SneijderInter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder is hopeful that he can complete a January move to the Premier League, despite being in negotiations with Galatasaray, according to the Daily Mail.

The Dutchman has been linked with Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool of late, following a contractual dispute with his current club.

This has led to the San Siro side accepting a €10m bid from the Turkish giants, who are hopeful that a deal will be concluded swiftly.

Inter were looking to reduce the playmaker’s earnings, believed to be in the region of £200,000-per-week, but the player is unwilling to match their demands.

Gala are reportedly willing to meet his expectations as they look to secure a genuine world star.

However, Sneijder is believed to be keen to move to the Premier League and is hoping that a potential suitor will step up to make the decision for him.

He has reportedly asked his representatives to find him an English club, although his pay packet could be a stumbling block.

It is thought that he may lower his wishes if a top team enters the race, which may tempt a few interested parties.

Sneijder began his career with Ajax, graduating from the Amsterdam outfit’s legendary academy set-up.

He moved on to Real Madrid in 2007, but failed to settle leading to a switch to inter Milan two years later.
