The 18-year-old full-back has established himself as one of the Premier League’s finest young talents this season, and, despite his age, is a candidate to make England’s World Cup squad.
The likes of Manchester United and Chelsea have been strongly linked with end of season moves for Shaw, and now Real are also looking closely at him.
With Fabio Coentrao likely to leave the Bernabeu – with United interested – the Spaniards are keen to draft in a replacement, and are watching the teenager.
Shaw is valued at around £25m-£30m by the Hampshire club, but Real are known to have the financial clout to land the biggest names on the planet.
Should a deal go through, the young defender will be the second Southampton academy graduate at the club, with Gareth Bale also a product of the South Coast outfit’s famed youth set-up.
United and Chelsea are also eyeing Shaw, and would appear to more likely destinations for the fledgling talent – especially given that he is known to be a Blues fan.
