The Spanish ace has emerged as one of the Premier League top forward-thinking threats since his bargain move to the Swans from Rayo Vallecano last year, and has attracted much attention from some of the division’s top sides.
Liverpool and arsenal are believed to be the two most interested parties, with both clubs having been linked with moves for the 27-year-old on several occasions.
Swansea are set to continue their Europa League campaign after advancing from their group, but Michu says that, although he is happy in South Wales, he has ambitions of playing at the very top level:
“Every player dreams about playing in big teams; clubs that play in the Champions League and fight for titles and I am no different,” he said.
“But it is true that I feel very good here, the boss gives me a lot of confidence and I’m surrounded by Spaniards. I am very pleased and very happy at Swansea but it is obvious that every player wants to grow up and see how far you can go.”
Liverpool and Arsenal are more likely to be able to offer Michu a chance to fulfil his desires than Swansea, but may unable to match his employers’ £30m valuation.
