Despite a sluggish start, the summer transfer window has finally arrived and a host of big names are expected to head towards our shores.

One name that has been featuring more frequently in reports of late is Jese Rodriguez, the combative young striker who is fast making a name for himself at Real Marid.

A graduate of La Fabrica, Real Madrid’s esteemed academy, Jese has increased his playing time in the first team at the Bernabeu with each passing season and donned the famous white shirt 38 times in all competitions last season.

However, Real Madrid are reportedly keen to offload the 23-year-old, as competition in Madrid is set to become fiercer with new signings expected.

Now, Liverpool may be set to renew their interest as they look to build a team of fast, hardworking, bullish players – a mould the Jese fits perfectly.

Everton

A player like Jese is needed at Goodison Park to reignite the excitement surrounding Everton. Gerard Deulofeu has been an intermittent success on Merseyside and Jese is a similar player, although much stronger.

A move for the 23-year old will depend on whether Ronald Koeman is keen to spend the majority of his transfer budget on a forward, when it is the defence that needs real investment.

Tottenham

Spurs arguably boasted one of the most threatening frontlines in Europe at times last season. With Harry Kane, Erik Lamela, Delli Alli, Christian Eriksen, Nacer Chadli and co contributing to a fantastic campaign.

Another team who would benefit from Jese’s strength and work-rate, Arsenal would be guaranteed another Alexis Sanchez-esque option should they sign the 23-year old… and that can’t be a bad thing.

Jese is also able to play as a front man, who can run into channels with pace and composure. This would suit Mesut Ozil perfectly; the German has been crying out for players willing to get on to end of his passes.
