The Bosnian international has proved himself to be one of the division’s most consistent stoppers over the course of the past few years, and has been heavily linked with moves to both Arsenal and Manchester City of late.
Rumours suggest that the Sky Blues came close to sealing a deal for Begovic over the summer, while Arsene Wenger is believed to be keeping an eye on the 26-year-old.
Despite interest from some of England’s elite sides, Begovic says that he is happy at Stoke and that he is not looking to leave:
“I don’t pay much attention to it [the speculation],” he is quoted by The Metro.
“I take it as a huge compliment if people are saying nice things but there’s a pressure to keep performing so I have to concentrate on my job each and every day.
“Everyone wants to play at the highest level as possible. I’m no different. That’s right through the club. Everyone is pretty ambitious, the chairman, the players, and I think we can all achieve great things here in the future.”
Begovic is expected to represent his nation at next summer’s World Cup and is keen to play regularly in the build-up to the competition.
