Sunderland supporters are starting to believe that their Premier League reign may not be coming to an end. They believe they can escape. They produced several notable scalps in the Capital One Cup to reach the showpiece event at Wembley and are starting to come to life domestically.
Manchester City are an insurmountable force at the Etihad yet Sunderland have shown their metal in the tonight’s Premier League game just like in the Capital One Cup final.
The Sunderland supporters are coming to terms with the reality that their side is simply running out of games to beat the drop but their charges keep fighting. They have still scored more goals than Newcastle at St James’s Park this year. The fans are believing that even Siri wants the underdogs to stay up.
