Swansea are ready to rival Liverpool for the signature of Benfica winger Ola John, who has been told he can leave the Portugese giants, according to the Daily Mail.
The 21-year-old Dutch winger is out of favour in Portugal, having made only seven appearances all season.
The once-capped Dutch international is desperate for regular first team football and a loan move to the Premier League is on the cards.
Liverpool have been previously linked with the winger, and could reignite their interest if they miss out on FC Basel wideman Mohamed Salah.
The Reds were considered the firm favourites to sign the Egyptian, but a fee is still to be agreed, and reports today have suggested Italian giants Inter Milan have entered the race for his signature.
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is keen to strengthen his side this January after a mixed first half of the campaign.
Laudrup is also reported to have set his sights on Dundee United left back Andrew Robertson.
The 19-year-old has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Everton.
Roberto Martinez is understood to have scouted the full back on a number of occasions, and sees him as a future star.
