Swansea midfielder Jonathan de Guzman wants the club to seal a deal for Osasuna attacker Roland Lamah.

The 25-year-old is close to completing a £2m move to the Premier League club after an impressive spell in Spain.

De Guzman played against the Belgian during his time with Feyenoord, and believes that his abilities could make him a real asset to the Swans:

“Roland’s a strong player. I remember playing against him in Holland. I was playing for Feyenoord and he was playing for Roda JC.” He is quoted by The Mirror.

“He scores goals, he has a good shot and he’s fast. If he came here, I think he’d fit in with the players here who like to play football.”

Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has enjoyed success in the transfer market since his arrival at the club, particularly with imports from La Liga.

Both Chico Flores and Michu moved from teams in Spain over the summer and enjoyed a great deal of success.

Michu’s goal scoring exploits have earned much praise, but Chico has been just as effective, forming a solid partnership with Ashley Williams.

This will give the Dane a great deal of confidence in his pursuit of Lamah, who has been one of Osasuna’s top performers this term.
