The Ivorian – who will represent his nation at the World Cup – enjoyed a decent debut campaign in England following his arrival from Vitesse Arnhem last year, netting 16 goals in 34 league outings.
With the Swans having struggled against relegation over the latter months of the campaign, speculation has suggested that the 25-year-old could be on his way, with both Arsenal and Everton rumoured to be looking at the £20m-rated hit-man.
Swansea themselves have indicated that the strong forward will not be sold, and now Bony has also weighed in by saying that he will be at the Liberty Stadium for the 2014/15 season:
“I will be a Swansea player,” he is quoted by Sky Sports.
“I don’t react to transfer speculation. I just focus on my job, that’s all I think of.
“I have three years’ contract with the club and I just focus on my job.
“If something happens we would have to decide.”
Swansea midfielder Jonathan de Guzman has also spoken of his desire to stay on at the club following the end of his loan spell from Villarreal:
“I had a good chat with Garry, he knows how I feel about Swansea and my situation here.
“I have two more years left at Villarreal and now it’s negotiation time. Hopefully that will happen sooner rather than later.
“I’d like to stay. I’m happy here.”
