Some footballers excel their position and become well known for playing in a certain role, which can perhaps change over time, but on the whole they solidify themselves as a specialist in one way or the other. Other footballers have ability, or in many cases simply the right attitude, warranting their place on the pitch, but without ever managing to convincingly play in one position.

These Jack of all trades, masters of none, the versatility men who will do any job required of them -usually with no questions asked - are very much the unsung hero of every Premier League team.

So here's a homage to the Premier League's Jack of all trades - lads who play anywhere and always give a decent but often uninspiring performance.

Some rely on their work rate and determination, others have one single underlying quality making them useful in any position, and a few are simply lacking in almost every department, meaning they can successfully play averagely wherever the gaffer wants them to.
