Olivier Giroud has enjoyed a solid season at the Emirates – barring the twitter-wife-gate episode – but let’s be honest Arsenal fans, the France international can’t compare to the awesome, world-class netting prowess of Sergio Aguero.
Unfortunately, the 25 year-old once again finds himself on the sidelines through injury. But prior to his physio room bout, the Argentine assassin had claimed a sensational 15 goals in 15 Premier League starts. He also netted six times in six Champions League outings, and recorded a hat-trick against Watford in the League Cup.
More than simply a finisher however – although I would argue that Aguero is one of the best in world football – the former Atletico star has racked up five assists too, furthermore averaging 1.5 key passes and 1.6 dribbles per match.
The Argentina international struck up an excellent striking rapport with Alvaro Negredo at the start of the season, and for all of the Citizens’ almighty wealth and depth of squad, they’re quite frankly not the same team without Aguero spearheading their attack.
