Arsenal target Hernanes says that he is not currently thinking about his long-term future, despite rumours of interest in his signature.
The Premier League duo were both linked with the Lazio midfielder over the summer after being impressed by his displays in Serie A last term.
Despite failing to make serious moves for the Brazilian’s signature, both Spurs and Arsenal are still thought to be interested in a move.
However, even with interest in his signature high, Hernanes maintains that his only concern for now is making sure that he will represent his country at next year’s World Cup.
“I’m happy and satisfied at Lazio, but I’m firstly thinking about the World Cup,” Hernanes told talkSPORT.
“That is what is in my head right now, then we’ll see about a contract extension.”
Hernanes has been one of Lazio’s standout performers for some time, attracting much interest along the way.
As well as Spurs and Arsenal, Napoli are also thought to be keen on the 28-year-old, whose contract is set to expire in 2015.
Hernanes has won 17 senior caps for Brazil and is known to be desperate to represent his nation at the World Cup next summer.
