Barcelona are pondering a stunning £13.5m move for Tottenham‘s Kyle Walker as they plot for life after Dani Alves, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Catalan giants are ready to offload their long-serving Brazilian star before the transfer window closes, with Liverpool having been mooted as candidates for his signature.

With Alves having been a key man for Barca the club are keen to ensure that his presence will not be sorely missed, and Walker has emerged as a candidate to replace him.

The England international missed a big chunk of last season through injury, but is considered to be one of the Premier League’s better right-backs despite his defensive vulnerabilities.

Even though his fitness is a slight worry, the Spaniards are ready to continue their summer spend with a £13.5m offer for the 24-year-old.

Mauricio Pochettino is said to be desperate to keep Walker at White Hart Lane, yet the lure of the Camp Nou may turn his head.

The pacey defender joined Tottenham in 2009 from Sheffield United in a deal worth £9m.

Spurs must keep Walker
