Fulham forward Dimitar Berbatov is ready to reject any late interest to seal a return to Tottenham, according to reports from The Telegraph.

The Bulgarian forward looks set to leave the Cottagers today as Kostas Mitroglou nears a move to West London, after his agent claimed recently that he’s unsettled at his current side.

Spurs are shock candidates to snap up the enigmatic goal-getter, despite him having left them in controversial circumstances to join Manchester United in the past.

A £1m deal has been mooted, with Fulham aware that it could be unwise to keep a player desperate to leave while they battle against relegation.

‘Berba’ has been linked with a switch to Turkey to join Besiktas, but he is believed to have set his heart on a White Hart Lane comeback.

A deal with Spurs would only last until the end of the season, but the 33-year-old is still keen to remain in the capital.

Reports suggest that he and his agent ate stationed in London as they await the green light for a move to Tottenham.

Tim Sherwood is also thought to be open to the deal as he prepares for life without Jermain Defoe.
