Spurs have been fairly quiet in the transfer market this summer, with Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen the two main names to have signed for the club.

This season is going to throw the demands of the Champions League at their young team, and you'd be forgiven for thinking they should have signed a few more players by now.

Nevertheless, it suggests Mauricio Pochettino has faith in the youngsters that got them into the top European competition and the idea is probably that another season together as a group will see them perform even better than last season.

They've got off to a steady start in the Premier League this year with two draws and a win, which isn't a bad start but they'll surely be looking to kick on from that. It could just be then, that Pochettino makes a few last gasp signings and here at Football FanCast we think that some of this five could be on their way.

Georges-Kevin N'Koudou

Somewhat incredibly this move is yet to be confirmed and N'koudou is still a Marseille player. It should go through though, the player is reportedly training with the Spurs squad everyone is just waiting for the French club to sort out their hierarchy after a change recently. If this deal doesn't happen it'll frustrate the life out of Pochettino, but it really shouldn't come to that.

Wilfred Zaha

Spurs saw a bid rejected for the Palace winger rejected earlier this month and it might take a big bid to prise him out of Alan Pardew's hands. The White Hart Lane club could certainly do with the pace the former Manchester United man could bring, so another bid could be in the offing before the deadline to test Palace's resolve over their fan favourite.

Moussa Sissoko

A midfield two of Mousa Dembele and Moussa Sissoko for Spurs would be a stunning prospect. Dembele has missed the start of the season through suspension and the club naturally miss him. Sissoko is a similar player who can carry the ball great distances and brush challenges aside when he's in the mood. Put the two together and they'd likely steam-roller many a Premier League midfield.

Isco

IS it me your looking for?

The Spaniard is reportedly being lined up by Tottenham for a potential loan deal which, if it came off, would get the whole of the league's attention. Isco is a class attacking midfielder but is in and out of the Real Madrid team thanks to their wealth of stars. Regardless, he'd get in most other teams around Europe and as Spurs look to compete in the Champions League he's the kind of player they need.

Eliaquim Mangala

Manchester City v Chelsea - Barclays Premier League

According to the ESPN Spurs have made an enquiry into the availability of the Manchester City man as they look for competition for Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen. Mangala is likely going to find himself at the back of the queue to start at City under Pep Guardiola so would be probably more than happy to move away whilst it also boosts Spurs' options in their back-line.
