Last week, it was formally announced that Tottenham had appointed former Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino as their next manager, having relentlessly courted his services ever since Andre Villas-Boas was sacked in December 2013.

The Argentine has been charged with the task of bringing his appetising brand of football to White Hart Lane, but in order to do so he’ll need to make a handful of specific signings first, whilst also compensating for pre-existing weaknesses in the Lilywhites roster.

With that in mind, and the tabloids claiming he’s been given £50million to spend this summer, here’s a list of FIVE signings the 42 year-old could and should make to kick-start the ‘Pochettino era’ in North London.
