Tottenham's form since beating Manchester City in October has been shambolic. The north Londoners may have only lost one league game all season, however, the team looks like it's on a downward slide since that famous victory.

At the moment, Spurs are slipping away from their title rivals, while Champions League elimination and an exit from the EFL Cup have been lowlights over the past month or so.

Spurs' looked set to challenge for another Premier League title once again in August and September but their inability to strengthen appropriately has seen them suffer both in Europe and in the Premier League.

The over-reliance on Toby Aldweireld and Harry Kane is evident, and the duo have been heavily missed throughout their injury lay-offs.

Pochettino must answer a few questions during the January transfer window and here are FIVE things the Argentine has to prioritise during the four-week window.

Add pace into the squad

Technically, players like Cristian Eriksen, Erik Lamela, and Heung-min Son cannot be faulted. Nonetheless, the lack of pace in attacking positions is something Pochettino must reconsider this January.

Far too regularly Spurs don't have a Plan B and consistently struggle to open teams up who sit back and defend for ninety minutes.

With the lack of place in the team, the Lillywhites are unable to stretch certain teams - as proven against Leicester twice last season.

Find a potential suitor for Sissoko

Sissoko

Before it's too late, Spurs must find a club stupid enough to buy Moussa Sissoko - the French international has been abysmal since his big-money move from Newcastle on Deadline Day.

After so many impressive displays during the Euros for France, Sissoko was expected to be a massive hit at the Lane.

The midfielder looks uninterested and playing with an arrogance that isn't backed up by his skillset. Flogging the moody midfielder should be a top priority for the club.

Loan the youthful talent

Harry Winks

Victory over West Ham a fortnight ago was ideal for the club's preparation for the future as youth team prodigy Harry Winks managed to score his first goal for the team.

Whether Winks maintains his place in the squad or not, Pochettino must be contemplating loaning out him and other starlets such as Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The future is bright for Spurs, however, they must ensure their young assets receive the necessary development over the coming months.

Search for another forward

Vincent Janssen

Summer signing Vincent Janssen has proven a terrible purchase already for Pochettino. The Dutch forward seems completely unable to adapt to life in England and dipping into the transfer market for another option is a necessity for the Argentine manager.

If Spurs have any ambitions of claiming a first title in 55 years, Pochettino must secure the services of another 20-goal striker to take the burden away from Harry Kane.

Whether or not Pochettino can find another forward, Janssen isn't the answer to Spurs' long-term issue.

Open talks with Yaya Toure

Whether or not an agreement can be achieved between the two clubs, Pochettino should instruct the board to convince Toure his future is in London.

Spurs lack leaders and major personalities in their squad, and a signing like Toure may swing the balance of power - despite his age.

The 33-year-old Ivorian has made a career of proving everyone wrong and a challenge at Spurs may provide him with the opportunity to do so, once again.
