Former Tottenham assistant manager Joe Jordan believes that the Londoners have much to be afraid of heading into the Europa League last-16 clash with Inter Milan.

Spurs advanced to their current stage with a two-legged victory over Lyon, and have been in fine form of late domestically, moving up to third in the Premier League.

But, the Italians also enter the tie on the back of positive results, after coming back from a two goal deficit to beat Catania 3-2 over the weekend.

Jordan, who watched the game, feels that it’s a tough one to call, but that Inter have all of the attributes to get past Tottenham and even win the competition:

“It’s only normal that on Thursday they will risk something in London and Spurs are going to be the favourites in the first leg.” He is quoted by The Mirror.

“I saw Inter’s game against Catania and they looked good.

“They are a solid team, well constructed. I think Inter have everything it takes to go all the way in the Europa League.”

Jordan was number two to Andre Villas-Boas’ predecessor Harry Redknapp at White Hart Lane, and assisted the former Portsmouth and Southampton coach during the club’s 2010/11 Champions League campaign.

During their run, Spurs registered impressive results against Inter, including a Gareth Bale inspired 3-1 win.
