Sandro feels that his team can match anyone in the Premier League.

The Brazil international helped Spurs secure four points from a possible six with their latest win against Sunderland on Saturday, helping the Lilywhites to reaffirm their top-four ambitions and a desire for a place in the qualifiers for the UEFA Champions League.

Playing in the last nine games in all competitions for Spurs, the Brazilian has helped the team to a fairly impressive run of seven wins, one draw and one loss. The wins have come against West Ham, Liverpool, Fulham, Panathinaikos, Swansea, Aston Villa and Sunderland. In 2013 Spurs will be looking to add a few top-three scalps to that list too.

Sandro, 23, went onto state that Spurs have ambitions greater than their current position might tell us.

"Everybody talks about United, City and Chelsea, but never Spurs," he said whilst speaking to Sky Sports.

"We have just won a hard game at Sunderland and Manchester City could not beat them here,” he continued.

"We are not content to be just a top-four side. We are looking up the table.

"But no-one is talking about Spurs as champions and that suits us. I hope it carries on like that until the end of the season and then bang! We are there.

"We believe we are as good as the top teams."
