Tottenham Hotspur are currently one of the emerging forces of the Premier League, undergoing wholesale changes under Harry Redknapp which launched them back towards the top end of the table and in contention for a Champions League place.

But growing up, I remember a very different type of club, with an overrated, underperfoming roster, filled to the brim with players with names alone that alluded to their comical lack of quality.

For the enjoyment of nostalgia, the sake of hilarity, and to make sure Lilywhites fans don't get too big for their boots, we've compiled a select XI of the worst players ever to don a Tottenham jersey.

Some never lived up to their hype, others cost way to much, and a few were well out of their depth, but all have been completely rubbish for Spurs.
