Michael Dawson has hinted that he will still be a Tottenham Hotspur player next season, despite reported interest from Hull City and Crystal Palace.
The 30-year-old Spurs captain has been heavily linked with a move away from the north London outfit this summer, particularly with new boss Mauricio Pochettino expected to ring the changes over the summer.
But Dawson has already spoken of the clubs’ targets for next season and has hinted that he’ll be a part of it.
The former England international told talkSPORT: “The expectations are high and the players want to achieve them.
“We want to be in the top four and hopefully next year we’ll have another push.”
And Dawson also admitted that he loves life at the club and that he has the fans to thank for his success with the club since signing from Nottingham Forest in 2005.
“The fans have been superb to me since day one because I’ve had some ups and downs like everyone else,” Dawson admitted.
“I’ve been at Tottenham for nine-and-a-half years. It’s a great football club and I’ve loved every minute of it while I’ve been there.”
