Marseille winger Georges-Kevin N'Koudou has signed for Tottenham Hotspur, the club have confirmed via their official Twitter page.

The Lilywhites were expected to sign the 21-year-old all the way back in July, after several sources - including London Evening Standard - reported that they'd agreed a transfer fee with the French club.

However, the deal later broke down, effectively leaving the Frenchman in limbo; he'd already set himself up in a London hotel whilst waiting for the move to be confirmed.

But Sky Sports reported earlier this month that the deal was back on and it has taken until the last five hours of Deadline Day for Spurs to get it over the line.

As one of the summer's most bemusing sagas, the north London club felt compelled to poke fun at N'Koudou's arduous journey to White Hart Lane on Twitter.

The north Londoners are yet to confirm the youngster's transfer fee, but have revealed he's signed a five-year contract until 2021.

And as speculated all the way back in July, Spurs forward Clinton N'Jie has moved the other way on a season-long loan.
