There was a sense of relief as Tottenham Hotspur secured an all-important 1-0 away win in Russia last night.

Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to leave key players at home amid a spate of minor injury niggles hinted that the north Londoners have made other competitions, namely the Premier League, their priority this season.

But after an opening loss to French outfit Monaco at Wembley earlier this month, a second defeat would have made the remaining four games in Champions League Group E very tricky indeed.

In-form South Korean international Heung-min Son netted the vital winner against CSKA Moscow with around 20 minutes left to play, and Spurs duly held on.

Fans were thrilled with the win and so too were the players - a number of Spurs' big names took to Instagram to share pictures from their evening and messages to the supporters.

Did Dele Alli have a cheeky dig at Paul Pogba along the way, too? Perhaps!
